The Giants finally made it to the playoffs this year. It wasnt pretty though, because we made with a record (8-8) in most years we wouldnt had made it with. Hell in our first year we didnt make it with a 9-6-1 record. I blame our poor record soley on our offense (22nd in PF). Our D had a bounce back year due to the upgrades we made in the LB and Secondary unit (12th in PA). Im really drawing a blank here. I look around the league, and see other teams offenses flourishing. IMHO some with less to work with. Listed below is what I sent out on the field this year. Keep in mind that in the last three seasons, I sent out roughly the same unit. I hate to say with basicly the same results.
QB- M. Sanchez 91 rating (545 at 90 qb rating 3541 yds 26 tds 17 int)
HB- J. Stewart 90 rating (244 at 850 yds 3 tds 3.5 avg), J. Mcknight 78 rating (53 at 313 yds 3 tds 5.9 avg)
FB- M. Hedgecock 86 rating
WR- B. Marshall 96 rating (69 c 717 yds 9 tds), H. Nicks 96 rating (106 c 1131 yds 3 tds) , D. Bey 75 rating (35 c 252 yds 4 tds)
TE- D. Keller 89 rating (51 c 454 yds 2 tds)
LT- B. Albert 93 rating
LG- A. Faneca 87 rating
C- R. Kalil 91 rating
RG- C. Snee 90 rating
RT- C. Tartacoff 81 rating
I honestly dont see how this team could struggle as much on offense as they do. The only thing I can possibly think of that could be the cause of our struggles is the Giants PB. I noticed with some traded players have had better stats after they left ,and have had better stats before they arrived. This type of league can be very puzzling and frustrating at times. Has anybody else had similar problems with their teams? I listed below a few stats and tibits I thought was interesting.
Eli Manning stats
(Giants) 85.3 qb rating 3153 25/11
(Panthers next four yrs) 100.8 qb rating 3569 24/8,
106.7 qb rating 4156 36/7
96.2 qb rating 3789 34/14
103 qb rating 3908 30/6
Mark Sanchez stats before he arrived
95.5 qb rating 3869 34/14
94.1 qb rating 3824 31/13
91.4 qb rating 3639 28/11
Jimmy Clausen 81 rating - 78.6 qb rating 3459 27/20 awfully close to Sanchez's #
Rookie 49er QB Greg Pope 79 rating- 86.5 qb rating 3637 24/11 Better than Sanchez's # SMH
Lastly is it me or have you notice CB's rarely get any ints and LBS/DL dont get hardly enough sacks you would normally see them get in any given year? Maybe its just true for the GMEN. Out........
