Speaking about trying to objectively value these trades, in a straight trade of draft picks we can use the following as a resource. www.drafthuddle.com/nfldraftvaluechart.htmlIn this instance 1400 pts for Cobra, 1240 pts for King. Of course, this is just a point of reference, and one has to take into account the depth of a specific draft. I think most people would agree this upcoming draft is poor, which would mean that the trade is even more favorable towards Cobra. I only approved it because the trade King got the 8th pick in was highway robbery, in my opinion. It will be interesting to see if google turns up any resources giving general rules about valuing players against these numbers.

Another thing to realize about that value chart is that it only becomes really useful when round 1-7 are able to be traded. That way you could use lower round picks to make up for the 160 point difference in this trade.
My understanding is that the next generation of LM will support automated trading of picks for all 7 rounds.
