Since alot of the FA drops are older shouldn;t we hold FA drops until after the year ends.
Guys like James and Hayes might retire and they can actually be useful to a team.
Not to mention what happens when a big named guy retired that people would have actually wanted to bid on?

what's the story with that? are older players more likely to retire if they are free agents vs on a team?

I beleive anyone who is a FA is more likely to retire, but It seams more often that an older player will.

I'm confused... League will advance before LM Is synced so you will see who will retire so you can drop the If you wish Some people have already dropped thier offseason drops... Since the league has not advanced to season 3 yet all those players that are already dropped will have a higher chance of retiring. It has nothing to do with LM. Its all on the Madden 11 side. When i first started and found out the online franchises draft classes were fixed I would always advance a league ahead of me in order to see who was coming up in the next draft... (this is before LM started doing it for me) Somehow Eric Berry got dropped and he retired in the advance to year 3.

That's very strange, are you sure he didn't have a career ending injury?

Nope Berry was dropped to so I could see how someone progressed and I didn;t want anyone ahead of him. He was a FA the whole season never had any stats... Year 1 or 2.

James spent the year on the FA list too. I think he was a cap casualty, so he has no stats. Kinda like what Getsum is saying about his sim with Berry.

We need to wait until the off-season to do any drops. If you need cap space at the end of the season to re-sign players send me a list of the players you need to cut to clear it up and I can put their contracts at 0 which should take their cap off your teams totals.

Sounds like a great way to keep better guys in the game.

they were all cap casualties. im sure we will have alot more of them. Its hard to play the cap and roster game if you dont get the FA's you target or the draft picks you want. Sometimes good old player will have to be cut like in real life.

I'm not saying that shouldn't be cut, but cutting them fore the offseason starts means they will retire when they probably shouldn't.
